They also received two county court judgements because they were behind with their council tax and water utility bill. We arranged a secured loan instead of a mortgage as the whole loan would have been at an expensive rate due to the CCJ's. This meant they retained some creditworthiness by keeping their mortgage with a High Street lender at a competitive rate and only paid a small premium of the secured loan borrowings.
